The Fondation du Prix Omega was set up on February 4th, 1949 by Fabrique d'horlogerie Omega SA, Louis Brandt & Frères SA, in Bienne, to celebrate the centenary of Omega (1848–1948).
Every year its board awards a Scientific prize and several Student prizes in the fields of micro-engineering, micro- and nanotechnology, solid-state physics and electronics, as well as chronometry. These domains comprise microelectronics, optoelectronics, sensors and similar peripherals, as well as materials and micromechanics.
Each prize in cash is accompanied by an Omega watch.Read the participation rules (French version only)
Applications must be presented in an electronic version to the secretariat of the Board of the Foundation up to October 31st in order to be considered for the coming award. The research work must be written and annotated in English, French or German.Send your document
