Fondation du Prix Omega

The Fondation du Prix Omega was set up on February 4th, 1949 by Fabrique d'horlogerie Omega SA, Louis Brandt & Frères SA, in Bienne, to celebrate the centenary of Omega (1848–1948).

Every year its board awards a Scientific prize and several Student prizes in the fields of micro-engineering, micro- and nanotechnology, solid-state physics and electronics, as well as chronometry. These domains comprise microelectronics, optoelectronics, sensors and similar peripherals, as well as materials and micromechanics.

Each prize in cash is accompanied by an Omega watch.
